My Favorite Things: January 2023

January Favorites

I hardly know what to say to close out the month as I’m still in disbelief it’s over…? Did I blink and miss it? Apparently.

January held so much goodness for me but of course, we couldn’t close the month without a spiritual test/trial popping up the last weekend of the month. And yet, even in that, God was faithful, as He always is, and He worked things out for my good, even if it’s painful and challenging in the moment.

How was January for you?

Here are a few things I’ve enjoyed or that have encouraged me this month…

Must read: Five Reasons Fruitfulness Is Better Than Productivity. So good!

Random read but also good: Why Grace Kelly’s Wedding Dress Embodies a Made-for-Hollywood Fairy Tale - I’ve always thought her dress was gorgeous so I enjoyed this!

Here’s how to be a better friend, according to scientific study.

I read several articles on creativity this month:

I also enjoyed the following articles and podcasts on the topic of women:

I was really encouraged by these sermons this month and I hope they encourage you, too:

I took a break from writing this month, but last month I shared about simple joys and slow seasons and my top ten books of 2022.

Currently on my nightstand: My Vertical Neighborhood, When God Speaks, and The Cost of Discipleship.

Speaking of books, here’s my winter reading list. What’s on yours?

Disclaimer: I am not in any way affiliated with anyone or anything on this list.  Just sharing a few of my favorite things!
