When was the last time you surrendered to whatever God was trying to do in your life? We think of surrendering as just “giving up” or “giving in” and while that is part of what it means to surrender, that’s not all it means.
Comparison will keep us feeling stuck like nothing else because comparison can often lead to self-doubt, and once self-doubt has entered the picture, it’s difficult to focus on anything except the fears that begin entering our minds. When we compare ourselves to others and begin to entertain self-doubts, we move farther and farther away from living our calling and from dwelling in a place of peace, contentedness, joy, and gratitude because we’re too busy battling our fears to focus on anything else.

I’ve felt stuck, unmotivated, frustrated, and sometimes even confused as to why I couldn’t seem to get on with life or grow closer to the Lord. My life felt like it had come to a complete stop. My prayers seemed to just bounce off the ceiling.
